Local Age UKs and Age Concerns in England provide vital direct services to people in later life throughout the UK, working in partnership with the national organisation. Local services can include: information, advice and advocacy services; day centres and lunch clubs; home help and 'handyperson' schemes; and IT and other training.

Each Age UK and Age Concern is an independent charity and together we work in a strong partnership to promote actively the well-being of people in later life through national and local campaigns, through influencing the media, by fundraising and through our range of products and services . Our CEO Mike Loginov at Ascot Barclay is Chairman of AGE UK London Hounslow.

Giving Africa – a truly unique charity focused on developing education by building schools in Africa, in order to eradicate poverty. We are currently raising money for a project in Gourcy, a town in the north of Burkina Faso.

The project will design, improve and expand the school infrastructure, facilities and curriculum of Bethel secondary school; creating a child friendly learning environment for 1100 children. The school will have 8 classrooms (including flexible learning spaces), new well, library, science laboratory and equipment, food kiosk, first aid clinic, additional toilets, staff room, playground, sports pitch, educational garden and improvements to the existing classrooms and grounds.

These teachers will all be fully qualified by AEAD, our amazing partner in Burkina Faso.
