Transport for London (Tfl)

Transport for London (TfL) is the local government body responsible for most aspects of the transport system in Greater London. Its role is to implement the transport strategy and to manage transport services across London. The Team from Ascot Barclay delivered Lean Programme Management team produced and delivered the strategic document for the use of real time technology to enhance Passenger transport information in one of the most complex and challenging cities – London.

As well as working in collaboration with Imperial College (where ABG sit in the industrial Forum for emerging technologies) ABG led the way on the use of 3g Wifi and near Field Communication on the transportation system where one of our directors led a two and a half year programme to produce the RT engine necessary for the 6 million travellers in London each day.

We were also engaged to assess how this could be used following the 7/7 bombings to enhance the identification and extraction of citizens from danger zones. ABG consultants were engaged as one of our Directors is a leading global expert on Real Time Technology and it use in transportation.
